Greater Miss New Bedford Scholarship Foundation
The Miss New Bedford Scholarship Pageant is an affiliate program of both the Miss Massachusetts and Miss America Programs. Being a part of this family enables the Miss America Pageant to be considered the largest scholarship foundation for young women in the world today. The Miss America Program grants over $40 million dollars annually in scholarships. For more than a half-century, the Miss New Bedford Program has awarded over $100,000 in scholarships and awards to young women of the Greater New Bedford Area.

Program, conducted in June, is the state preliminary to the Miss America Pageant
held in Las Vegas, NV in January. The winner of the Miss New
Bedford Scholarship Pageant automatically becomes a contestant in this program.
The winner of the Miss Massachusetts Pageant will compete in Las Vegas
vying for the title of Miss America.
